Introduction
Introduction
My name is Anna Róza Kosztolányi, and I am a qualified midwife and birth attendant.
I grew up in a large family; there are nine of us siblings. I was already present as a little helper at my mother’s last three home births.
That was when I experienced the miracle of birth for the first time in my life. I was also able to observe the challenges of the postpartum period from very close up.
That was when my vocation set out on its path, even though I did not yet know it. I planned to give birth to all three of my children at home. However, my first son chose the hospital instead, so I also gained hospital experience. After 25 hours of labor and birth, just one hour later I already felt that I could give birth again at any time, and I was enriched with the most defining experience of my life. Alongside my two little sons, I completed my degree, and with a fresh diploma in hand, I set off on the long and exciting path of midwifery.

My desire is that everyone who wishes may receive the appropriate support during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, and be enriched with similar experiences. That parents receive continuous reassurance and answers even during the challenging period of becoming a family.
During childbirth, women are beautiful when they find their own voice and rhythm. They can gain such strength that they become capable of anything. Providing postpartum support is especially important to me because of my own close personal experiences.
I provide prenatal care, birth support, and postpartum care within a 15 km radius of Kismaros.
Due to my youngest child, the focus of my profession is currently not on birth support.
In Kismaros, I lead mother–baby and pregnancy groups. In Vác, I hold childbirth preparation sessions every two months.
